On November 27, 2024, the Erasmus+ PRO.D.I.G.Y. Project gathered professionals, organizations, and experts in Ostrava to present the outcomes of a groundbreaking initiative aimed at improving the workplace integration of people with disabilities. The conference, held at the meeting room of the Regional Authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region, was a significant step forward in the mission to foster inclusive, accessible workplaces across Europe.
Representatives from the National Committee for Disabled People provided an overview of national initiatives supporting disabled individuals in the workforce. This was followed by a presentation from the Czech Employment Office, showcasing government programs designed to assist people with disabilities in securing employment.
SIGMA introduced the comprehensive framework document, a key deliverable of the project, designed to guide companies in preparing for emergencies while considering the specific needs of people with disabilities. SIGMA also unveiled an online tool designed to assess workplace preparedness for crisis situations, offering companies a digital resource to evaluate and improve their emergency planning processes.
