SMEnergy, a new Key-Project for SIGMA!

SIGMA is the Lead Partner in a new very important Research Project that has been initiated under the name “Energy Footprint management for SMEs”.

5 partners from 4 EU countries have joined the SMEnergy consortium: SIGMA BUSINESS NETWORK from Greece, University of Piraeus Research Center also from Greece, EUGENE GLOBAL from Cyprus, ISQ from Portugal and CCI VRATSA from Bulgaria.

The key objectives of SMEnergy Project are:

  • To enable SME owners and personnel to educate themselves on Energy Footprint Management, by utilizing digital modern tools and technology;
  • To provide SMEs with an easy-to-use Self-Rating (S-R) Tool to guide owners and personnel through the Energy Footprint management process, enhancing resources utilization and cost effectiveness;
  • To support SME owners and personnel to get familiar with and fully use the S-R Tool, by providing access to a comprehensive and modular self-paced Training Course.

The project targets owners/managers/personnel of SMEs & micro-enterprises with up to 100 employees, SME’s Financial Departments personnel, Environmental Managers as well as the decision-makers and rest of staff responsible for energy sources management.

SMEnergy is EU funded and implemented under Erasmus+ KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices / KA202 – Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training.
