ADVANCE – A New Erasmus+ Project For SIGMA!

“Advancing MuNicipal Circlular Economy-ADVANCE” is the new EU-funded Project that SIGMA participates in, as the Quality and Risk Management Leader.

ADVANCE is implemented under Erasmus+ KA220-VET – Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training. The primary project’s target groups are municipalities and SMEs in the HORECA sector.

Program objectives include:

The evaluation of existing food waste management practices in selected municipalities and SMEs in the HORECA sector.
The assessment of the gap between the baseline assessment and the requirements posed by the EU Circular Economy Action Plan using Circularity Indicators.
The development of a Roadmap and the creation of a step-by-step methodology to implement the EU Circular Economy Action Plan requirements regarding food waste.
The development of an Open Education Resource online platform that will include & host all the above.

The ADVANCE partnership is composed of 7 partners from 5 EU countries: The NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS-NTUA, the SIGMA BUSINESS NETWORK and D-WASTE LTD from Greece, the HORECA Partners from Belgium, the E.G. EUGENE GLOBAL LTD from Cyprus, the GRAD ZADAR from Croatia, and City of Novi Sad from Serbia.
